Arthur Berger (Director)
Retired director of External Affairs and Communications at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Former Public Relations and Communications Director for the American Jewish Committee and for the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science. Previously, a senior Foreign Service officer, including as the Middle East Issues Spokesman at the Department of State.

Alex Bruner (Director)
Alex Bruner is a child of Holocaust survivors from Yugoslavia who remained in Europe after World War II. A former principal gifts fundraiser and management consultant, he was was the North American director for an agency that assisted early-stage Israeli companies. Alex lectures on various topics relating to Israel, the Middle East, and antisemitism. He was instrumental in publishing the English version of his uncle’s memoir, “Cold Crematorium” (National Jewish Book Award finalist and one of New York Times Book Review’s “10 Best Books of 2024”), originally written in Hungarian in 1950, and now available in 19 languages.

Deborah Lauter (Executive Director)
Former Executive Director of the New York City Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes, served in leadership positions at the Anti-Defamation League for 18 years, including as Senior Vice President, where she oversaw the organization’s programs on civil rights as well as Holocaust and anti-bias education. dlauter@tolinstitute.org

Kathrin Meyer (Director)
Retired from the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) in February 2025 after serving as Secretary General for seventeen years. During her tenure, IHRA grew to thirty-five members and seven observer countries, and is now the world’s leading inter-governmental organization in Holocaust education, remembrance, research and fighting antisemitism.

Eyal Raviv (Director)
Social entrepreneur based in Israel, where he works to advance co-existence.

Harry D. Wall (Director)
Consultant to international organizations and foundations, former nonprofit professional, contributing writer to various publications and online media.
