The pupil of the eye in this artwork is the Star of David to symbolize the Jewish faith, and the blood running from the eye signifies the pain the Jewish people endured. The number 11,000,000 is included because that is how many people perished in the Holocaust. The memory of these victims is symbolized by the lit candle.
