Irvin Moreno-Rodriguez: Bringing TOLI Programming to Mexico

Irvin Moreno-Rodriguez is the Director of Stockton University’s Holocaust Resource Center, and the first Hispanic leader of a New Jersey Holocaust center.

Irvin, a first-generation student whose parents emigrated to the United States from Mexico, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Holocaust and Genocide Studies (Stockton University). He is a bilingual educator whose work highlights Latin America’s role during the Holocaust.

In New Jersey, Irvin provides outreach in Spanish, preserves survivor stories, and advocates for immigrant rights. His work bridges communities, promotes remembrance, and confronts antisemitism and other forms of hatred through education and engagement.

Thanks to Irvin and our other fantastic leaders and speakers, 36 Mexican teachers experienced an intensive TOLI training program in Mexico City in August (2025). The seminar combined the historical study of the Holocaust with innovative pedagogical tools to address antisemitism, Holocaust distortion, and human rights in the classroom.

These teachers are now part of TOLI’s international network of over 6,000 educators, and they will receive support from the Institute in implementing school and community projects and intercultural collaborations.
