I’ve posted some pictures from a field trip we took yesterday. As yesterday was Yom Hashoah, it was a perfect day to schedule a field trip to the Dallas Holocaust Museum. If you are familiar with the DHM, it’s a small museum. Becuase of it’s size, they have chosen to focus on just one date, April 19, 1943. So in addition to attending on Yom Hashoah, it was also the anniversary of the date that the museum illustrates in detail. The corelation of these dates will certainly have an additional impact on my students who were already moved by Mike Jacobs’ story and the artifacts collected in the museum. In addition, we were joined by two other faculty members that are dedicated to helping our students learn to be upstanders.
